How long has company been in business? You will go with the company that has been in business for at least five years. Most construction companies fail during the first year of their existence. The bottom line, no company wants to hire a start-up that gives 1-5 year warranty and find out later that this company is no longer running (good luck with your warranty.)

How much experience do you have in building this structure? If you had a good experience with the homebuilder does not mean you should hire him to build a stable of horses.
Do you have references? Do not forget to ask for some references, make some phone calls, go visit and talk to previous customers. What kind of warranty do you offer? I think (this is my personal opinion) that any structure built in the place (barn, garage, house, etc.) must carry at least (3) year warranty on craftsmanship. If they have no warranty, forget about this company and get someone else.
